The Miramonte Reservoir is located near Norwood at the base of Lone Cone Peak and is a great spot for fishing, paddling and boating. There is quality fishing for rainbow, Snake River cutthroat and brown trout. This reservoir, located on Dan Noble Sate Wildlife Area, covers 405 surface acres at full capacity and is open year round to angling. Trapping crayfish is also very popular. There are 32 campsites, all of which are RV compatible.
It is free, but you must have a valid Colorado fishing or hunting license, or a State Wildlife Area (SWA) pass to access the area.
