Just when you thought it couldn't get any better... Bluegrass comes along. This year marked the 35th anniversary of the Telluride Bluegrass Festival and it was truly musical magic. Over 11,000 eager festivarians joined together for a magical four day music festival situated in Telluride's town park. Big names such as Ryan Adams & the Cardinals, The Frames, Ani DiFranco, Bela Fleck, Yonder Mountain String Band, Sam Bush and many more plucked away for hours during the longest day of the year, beginning of summer, and a beautiful Summer Solstice.

After a long day of skiing and exploring the vast terrain of Telluride's Ski Resort, there is nothing better than unwinding with a couple friends while sharing drinks and laughs. It's après time. I had heard good things about the Inn at Lost Creek, so I decided to ski down and check out 9545.
Perfectly situated at 9,545 ft. in elevation, 9545 Restaurant and Bar is Mountain Village's answer to fine dining, convenient Après ski, and a relaxed bar atmosphere.

Palmyra Peak - ski access for the extremist - right in our back-yard!
by LocalFebruary 29, 2008 - 5:33pm.
Just the other day I had the pleasure to hike and ski Telluride's stunning Palmyra Peak. While most people were skiing corduroy and taking powder turns, my friend and I decided to check out the infamous hike-to terrain that Telluride has to offer. After months of avalanche control and hard work from Telluride's ski patrol, this new terrain is available for the first time in years. This amazing hike-to terrain includes over 200 acres and a 2,000 vertical feet scramble to the 13,320 foot peak.

A Snowlover's Paradise
by LocalApril 17, 2008 - 5:29pm.
Living on the outskirts of Telluride, everyone told me to get a snowmobile for the winter. Snowmobile, please, I have a Jeep! Apparently I wasn't ready for exactly how much snow we would be getting. My poor little Jeep, she tries, but sometimes the shear thought of driving thru 4 feet of snow makes her cringe. Boy, I wish I had bought a snowmobile!

A "Roudy" good time!
by LocalApril 17, 2008 - 5:32pm.
It was an early Sunday morning and a group of six of us drove from the Town of Telluride to Norwood. We turned onto CO 4325 and drove all the way to the end where we discovered the barn of our tour guide, the "one and only", Roudy. All of us piled out of our car, walked over to the barn where we were introduced to Ned and Clyde; the horses that were going to be pulling our bobsled that morning. The bobsled was bright red and it has room enough for 6-8 adults.
