This old, non-motorized mining road connects the town of Ophir to Bridal Veil Basin. This is a loose, rocky and steep jeep trail that offers breathtaking views of the Ophir Valley. There are a number of historic mining remnants along the trail. The top of this trail intersects with the Wasatch Trail and Bridal Veil Trail. Many hikers use Blixt to connect Telluride and Ophir.
Directions:
Hike up to the top of Bridal Veil Basin via the Wasatch or Bridal Veil Basin Trails, or start from the bottom of Blixt from the Town of Ophir.
