Elk Creek Trail

Connects Rock of Ages to Woods Lake Trail

Elk Creek can be as short of a hike or as long of hike as you'd like. It connects the Wilson Mesa Trail and Woods Lake Trail to complete a 9-mile loop, if desired. 

Directions:

Travel west on State Highway 145 for approximately 9 miles to Vanadium. Turn south onto County Road 60M, Silver Pick Road, and continue south for approximately 3.7 miles past the National Forest boundary to the intersection with Forest Service Road #645, Elk Creek Road. County Road 60M turns into Forest Service Road #622 at the forest boundary. Follow FSR #645 for approximately 1.7 to the intersection with the Wilson Mesa Trail #421. Follow the Wilson Mesa Trail for 0.5 miles to the beginning of the Elk Creek Trail.
