Budding Wayne Gretzkys or Michelle Kwans can make their way to the ice rinks in Telluride Town Park where there is an outdoor rink (generally open December through mid-February, weather dependent) and a fully enclosed, refrigerated NHL-sized indoor rink, the Hanley Pavilion which is open late October to mid-March. Drop-in hockey scrimmages and free public skating is offered daily. Hop on the free gondola and head up to the Mountain Village to glide and spin on the outdoor rink at the Hotel Madeline.  Skate rentals are available at the rink.
