Lewis Lake

Beautiful Lake Past the Lewis Mine

If you want to extend your hike from the Lewis Mine, Lewis Lake is just beyond it! This hike offers beautiful views, wildflowers, and historic mining equipment. It can be made into a loop with Blue Lake or the Wasatch, and can also continue to Columbine Lake for an even longer hike.

Directions:

Park at the east end of Colorado Ave. and start on the Bridal Veil Trail until the bottom of the power plant. Continue up the road, and duck through the gate at the power plant. Follow the road as it continues up the left side of the creek until you hit a split. Continue straight (left goes to Blue Lake). At the second junction, keep right near the pipeline. Keep left at the third junction, which just has a post (no signage). Continue past the mill and mine to Lewis Lake.
