The Rock of Ages Trail is a popular trail to access Wilson Peak, Mount Wilson, and El Diente in the Lizard Head Wilderness. The trail is open to horse and foot travel (Note: Horses are prohibited on the trail segment that crosses private land in Silver Pick Basin). You can continue .6 miles past the Rock of Ages saddle to reach the Wilson Peak summit. 

Directions:

From Telluride, drive 6 miles west on State Hwy 145. Turn left onto the Silver Pick Road. Proceed for 4.0 miles to a major road fork. Turn right onto FSR 622 and proceed south for 2.3 miles. Turn right at the Rock of Ages sign onto FSR 645. Proceed for 2.2 miles to the Rock of Ages Trailhead. Note: FSR 622 and 645 are not maintained for passenger vehicles
