We started this adventure by dropping one car at the Eider Creek trailhead up Mill Creek road across from the Shell Gas Station.  Then we drove another car to the Deep Creek Trailhead on Last Dollar Road and proceeded to hike.

This 5.5 mile trek was one of the most breathtaking hikes of the summer/fall considering the night before we received 2-4 inches of fresh snow.  No words can describe the feeling you get walking through the calm wilderness underneath snow-dusted, golden aspen trees.  

Telluride pup Watson had the time of his life running through the woods chasing squirrels and chipmunks.
