New Stegosaurus Trail Open to Public

The new Stegosaurus Trail is now officially open to the public!

This new trail is a two-way hiking and eastbound-only biking trail parallel to the Jurassic Trail but higher up on the ridge and within the trees. This new route provide less exposure for outdoor enthusiasts and more privacy for the homes off Country Club Drive. With the recent completion of the Stegosaurus Trail, Jurassic is now westbound only for bicycles.

Originally envisioned as a loop trail with Jurassic, Stegosaurus is designated as an uphill bike-only (west to east) and bi-directional hiking trail. To reduce user conflicts, the Jurassic Trail will be marked as a downhill bike (east to west) and uphill hike (west to east) trail. Signage reflecting these designations will be installed in the coming weeks.

While all machine work is now complete, please be aware that Town crews will continue surface work on the trail throughout the summer. This includes clearing slash from corridor clearing, slope remediation, and revegetation efforts. Please remain mindful of these ongoing cleanup activities.
