Telluride Ski Resort Opening New Heritage Trail
Telluride Ski Resort will open the new Heritage Trail on Saturday, December 21 at 10:30 a.m. This new historical experiential trail will take skiers on a journey through the heritage and evolution of the Telluride region.
Located in the Grouse Glade just off the Double Cabin trail, this attraction incorporates seven interactive features that highlight the heritage of the region and its rich history. The trail takes the skier through a journey that starts with the evolution of the San Juan Mountains, to the Ute Native Tribe, first Wild West pioneers, the rich mining history, Butch Cassidy’s first bank robbery, all the way through to the Galloping Goose Railway—ultimately leading to the ski resort we have now.
The ribbon cutting ceremony will take place at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday and is open to the public. All are welcome.
